The holidays are here – a time to gather with family and friends, share joyful moments and savor the flavors of the season. Whether you’re hosting a holiday party or enjoying a cozy evening at home, delicious holiday drinks will make your season brighter.
Oceania Cruises is excited to share three festive holiday drink recipes that are sure to light up your celebrations. After all, we take you to exciting destinations across the globe, and that includes exploring the unique flavors and traditions of different cultures.

CHAMPAGNE COCKTAIL
Serves 2
INGREDIENTS:
- 2 sugar cubes
- 8 drops Angostura® bitters
- 1 ounce brandy
- ½ ounce Grand Marnier or orange liqueur
- 8 ounces chilled Champagne
- Orange twist, for garnish
DIRECTIONS:
Place one sugar cube in each Champagne glass and saturate each with 4 drops of Angostura bitters.
Then add the spirits. Top with Champagne and stir. Garnish with the orange twist and serve.
NEW ZEALANDER SANGRIA
Serves 4
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 bottle New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc
- ½ cup Licor 43
- ½ cup Domaine de Canton
- ¼ cup limoncello
- 12 mint leaves
- Segments of 1 tangerine
- 1 cup sliced kiwi
- 1 bottle New Zealand sparkling wine, chilled
DIRECTIONS:
In a large pitcher, stir together the Sauvignon Blanc and liqueurs and refrigerate until chilled. In each of 4 tall glasses, muddle 3 of the mint leaves. Divide the tangerine and kiwi among the glasses. Divide the Sauvignon Blanc mixture among the glasses and top off with the sparkling wine.
HOLIDAY SWEDISH GLÖGG
Serves 8
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 cup honey
- ½ cup water
- 4 cinnamon sticks
- 6 whole star anise
- 1 orange, studded with 10 whole cloves
- 3 bottles dry, light-bodied red wine
- ½ cup Grand Marnier
DIRECTIONS:
In a large saucepan over medium, melt the honey and water with the cinnamon sticks and star anise. Decrease the heat to low and add the orange and the wine. Mull the wine for 1 hour. Finish with the Grand Marnier and serve warm.
